It’s been exactly 4 weeks since the last AMD leaked driver and we have another one to mess about until the next one surfaces. Earlier today the first driver with 8.97 packaging version was leaked, probably the next 12.4 WHQL or a early version of 12.5.
Unfortunately, after testing with a couple of games, SSAA still doesn’t work with DX10+ games on non-HD7000 cards. Furthermore, atipld.dll wasn’t reincluded with this package so OC (and other) functions with 3rd party tools may not work. MLAA 2.0 code is implemented with this driver.
To test how good this driver performs I will compare it against the latest official release, 12.3 WHQL and the fastest driver so far, 12.4 Beta 8.96 15 March.
Prior to installing a driver, a sweep was done in safe-mode using Phyxion Driver Sweeper.
