I cannot get them install on my Alienware m17x r3, 6990m
Tried ccleaner, properly un installed previous version, still after installation, resolution is low, screen is bigger with no driver detected.

    • Bert

Sherry, are you installing on top of previous AMD Catalysts or the dell ati pkg?

      • Sherry

Nop, i did clean un install previous drivers, drivers sweeper and ccleaner in safemode as well. Brought back my original VGA drivers in device manager, tried 12.8, didnt work

        • Bert

Ok, i normally install on top of the Dell drivers (on the disc or the dell website) and never get any problems.

If I install the AMD Catalysts from scratch, they don’t detect my hardware,

          • Sherry

I tried installing them over the Dell original package, didn’t work :s

  • Mohammed

how we judge on this release without tests and benchmarks

    • kn00tcn

you read guru3d & rage3d forums for user reports, seen a few that say nice fps boosts (but i guess 12.7 beta was the same)

  • vs

Sherry, have u tried to install Dell 8.851 official drivers and than 12.8 WHQL on the top of them? Dell 8.851 has Intel HD3000 driver, required for your laptop.

    • Sherry

Yes, I did, I tried clean installation of these on shipped dell 6990m as well, same result :s

      • vs

Have you tried AMD Catalyst 12.8 WHQL – 7900 MOD ?

        • vs

Seems to be a no go for Alienware R3 with 6990M. Have tried myself both WHQL and 7900M Mod with no success. BSOD during installation, BSOD during restart, Windows Start-up Repair. Was the same with 12.7 Beta. Back to 8.97 18th of April.

          • Sherry

            Yep, tried modded, no success

  • SpawN8192

Does anyone know what is written in the 12.8 whql release notes!?

  • ltfcwu

What is the different between mobility and normal WHQL Drivers?

    • Sherry

      Mobility drivers are for notebooks

  • Xemnashart

    Better than april 18 ?

    • Heihachi

      Bugs with Firefox Hardware acceleration

  • mark

when will you post the benchmarks?

  • Ang

Waiting for the benchmark, otherwise I’d need to install them, afraid of experiencing chrashes…

    • Heihachi

They are equal to 12.7 Beta (26 june) and got bug with Firefox HW acceleration, i don’t recommend these drivers.

  • Prasad

Looking forward for modded drivers.. :D

  • Frank

Looks like i stick to the april drivers. I did try the 12.7beta and i lost ALOT of fps in starcraft 2 with those..

  • 12.8 7900MOD PLS

hello, please plesase please.. we want the 7900 MOD drivers 12.8!! PLEASE

    • tomas

agree, i can’t mod drivers with modding guide. drivers perform very well so far. modded drivers will be awewsome

      • http://benchmark3d.com Johnny 3D

It’s a very simple process, what’s the problem?

  • Joeri

Looking forward to the modded version as well. I was wandering, would it be easier/possible to at both atipdlxx.dll and atipdl64.dll manualy. If so, in what folder do they belong (System maybe)?

  • Tchouk

n1 on BF3 thx for your job

  • Moe

I’m trying to download but the nothing is being downloaded! ZERO KBS files only both mobility and normal!!!

I turned off my firewall and antivures but still same problem

    any ideas?

    • Moe

Never mind, it was a browser problem!

  • SolidEther

    J-
Don’t Burn up your system bro. I know all those BM runs and driver installs-reinstalls and all the restarts doing so DO take a toll. What issues are coming up? usually it would be the PSU or the drives. I cannot recall are you using mechanical drives.. Is it your drives… :( BACK UP..BACK UP!!!
Man, that just adds more expenses I hope you don’t have to use your upgrade budgets to replace worn parts. Everyone please understand BM3D does its best and burns the midnight oil… have some patience. I know we all look forward to his helpful info though.

Nice to have you back !

It was nothing bad, just a faulty RAM stick. Never expected RAM to fail before the CPU,GPU or HDD but I’m glad it was only that, cheapest replacement :) It got me worried for a little bit there, initially I thought it was the CPU (all that OC, disabling of cores, etc) because I was getting all these BSODs in load.

Anyways, looking forward to catching up !

Than you for the drivers, but the download link for mobility version doesn’t work!

You and about a thousand other so called experts have got the support cards all wrong. The HD7570 is NOT supported AT ALL, and if you freaking GD morons had actually bothered to look at the Release Notes you’d see they are NOT SUPPORT

It’s irritating to see thousands of morons copying the same freaking idiot that got it wrong in the first place like the Mindless Lemmings they obviously are. …. But every website says the same wrong thing and every freaking moron who thinks he’s an expert points you to these same WRONG DRIVER

THEY DO NOT WORK ON THE HD7570 … THEY JUST DON’T …. RTFM morons RTFM
