Both drivers tested today dip lower in Crysis 2 than the other two drivers presented in the charts, the exact behavior applies to Metro 2033. And again, even though Battlefield 3 should have performed up to 3.3% faster, the frame rate is actually lower with 12.7 Beta than with 12.4 WHQL for example but only by half a frame which is negligible.
12.6 WHQL has the exact same problem as all 12.6 BETA drivers released previously, DiRT 3 DirectX 11 performance is 25% lower than normal. This issue was fixed in 12.7 Beta.
Skyrim has a story of its own, while 12.6 WHQL only improves performance by a couple of frames, all 12.7 BETA drivers showed huge frame rates increments. The release notes said a 25% increase but I only saw half that (12% improvement) which is still awesome. But, 12.7 BETA users reported crashes with this driver, unfortunately I wasn’t able to replicate any of the issues they had, well at least not the crashes and I tried updtading the game to the latest version (previously Steam updates were disabled) and I still didn’t get any CTDs (crashes to desktop) or any kind of crash. While I’m using any 12.7 Beta driver I only get a HUD glitch, basically the health and stamina bars have a slight offset.
