Based on the next chart, 12.1 WHQL is the worst performing driver tested so far while 12.2 Preview is the second best driver so far. 8.95 17 January remains uncontested well ahead of the pack.
AMD was right to recommend 12.12 Preview for gamers as 12.1 WHQL isn’t what most of us expected.
If you encounter those nasty CCC bugs with 8.95 17 January then skip 12.1 WHQL and install 12.2 Preview.
