Quick History
Before understanding how BenchmarK3D was born we first have to look in the past. The story begins in June 2010 when newtipsandtricks.com was created with the sole purpose of helping others find helpful information about computers. I started up with simple tutorials, tips and tricks about software, Windows and computers in general.
After doing that for a couple of months and basically exhausting all ideas, at the beginning of 2011 I started benchmarking games against Windows XP and Windows 7. First game was Call of Duty: Black Ops and was a real success. Getting positive feedback I thought of continuing this “trend”. Few weeks later the visits multiplied so fast the shared host couldn’t cope. Further more the test system was getting very old and I needed to upgrade A.S.A.P. but couldn’t due to lack of funds, I had to add Google Ads on the website. Visitors kept on coming and everything was good. Two months later I upgraded our shared host to a more capable server, which isn’t cheap.
More recently I decided to move from newtipsandtricks.com to a new domain. After days of thinking I chose benchmark3d.com. Now it all comes together, I was going to focus on benchmarking games.
Soon after the site moved to benchmark3d.com I was able to upgrade the test system to a high end one, sort of speak. And I am benchmarking games ever since….
